Board of Education Regular Meeting
The Board of Education meeting included various recognitions, such as the Andover High School state track champions, a state finalist for a Presidential teaching award, and the Middle Level Principal of the Year. The Board conducted its annual organization by electing officers including the President, Vice-President, Clerk, Assistant Clerk, and Treasurer. Numerous operational items were approved via a consent agenda, covering personnel reports, financial documents, out-of-state travel, a drug testing contract, student transfers, university partnerships, legal designations, committee appointments, and facility projects including irrigation and landscaping. Additional actions included the adoption of various resolutions regarding budget revisions, bank depositories, early bill payments, and student hour requirements, as well as the appointment of representatives to various committees and foundations. The Board also discussed and approved salary increases for classified and administrative staff, and ratified the negotiated agreement with the Andover Education Association.
