It details strategies across several priority areas: ensuring plan sustainability, enhancing personal protection, improving housing security, expanding health and wellness programs, increasing accessible transportation, and fostering social connection. The plan aims to improve the well-being of older adults by enabling them to live longer, age in place, contribute to the community, and feel connected.

The City of San Leandro's Age-Friendly Action Plan, guided by the Senior Commission, outlines a five-year roadmap from July 2024 to June 2029 to enhance the city's livability for older adults and residents of all ages. Key priorities include plan sustainability, personal protection, housing security, health and wellness, transportation, and social connection. The plan emphasizes community engagement, diversity, and accessible communication to address the needs of San Leandro residents.

The Innovation Action Plan for the City of San Leandro focuses on attracting innovative businesses in Life Sciences & Biomedical, Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Tech, and Food Tech.
