Health Canada Action Plan
This Action Plan addresses chronic pain as a serious public health emergency in Canada. It aims to improve the prevention and management of chronic pain through six primary goals: enabling coordination and leadership, enhancing access to equitable and patient-centred care, increasing awareness and education, supporting pain research and infrastructure, monitoring population health and system quality, and ensuring equitable approaches for disproportionately impacted populations. The overall vision is to improve quality of life for people living with pain and reduce its impacts on individuals, families, and society.
