The meeting addressed door check changes, introducing the new SRO for the district, and discussing changes within the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), including updates to the Active Threat Annex with additions such as biological attack protocols, hazard-related expense tracking, an active shooter policy, and anonymous reporting mechanisms. It also covered the need for principal and assistant principal NIMS ICS certification, the Rogers ISD Guardian Program being taken over by Dr. Chris Goodman, and the requirement for breaching tools and shields on each campus. The upcoming District Vulnerability Assessment (DVA) was also discussed.

The meeting included updates on the Emergency Operation Plan, highlighting adjustments made to comply with state requirements and the appointment of a Cybersecurity Officer. Updates were also provided on the Door Audit Corrective Actions, including a mandatory safety meeting at the High School, installation of padlocks, reprogramming of electric doors, and implementation of monitoring during transition periods. The next safety meeting was scheduled, and a suggestion was made to include a bond update on the agenda for the next meeting.

The meeting included an update on the legislative session, focusing on a proposed bill that would require armed guards at each campus and the installation of silent panic buttons in every classroom. There was also discussion regarding a door audit for the Middle School and High School, which the school failed due to unauthorized access through multiple doors. The Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) has been accepted by the Texas School Safety Center.

The Rogers ISD strategic plan focuses on improving academic performance in reading/ELA and mathematics for all students, with specific goals for different subgroups including African American, Hispanic, White, American Indian, Asian, Pacific Islander, Two or More Races, Economically Disadvantaged, Special Education, and English Learners. The plan sets incremental targets for the years 2017-18 through 2032-33. Additionally, it addresses English Learner language proficiency and aims to increase graduation rates, with targets set for 4-year longitudinal rates from 2016-17 through 2031-32.

The 2022 Federal Report Card for Rogers Middle provides an overview of the school's performance based on the Texas Education Agency's accountability system. It includes data on student achievement in STAAR assessments, academic growth, graduation rates, English language proficiency, and school quality indicators. The report also covers student demographics, teacher qualifications, per-pupil expenditures, and civil rights data, offering a comprehensive evaluation of the school's progress and areas for improvement.
