The Berryville Town Council held a meeting that included a public hearing on the proposed budget for FY25, during which the resources, revenues, expenses, and reserves for the General Fund, Water Fund, and Sewer Fund were reviewed. The council discussed an update on paving, milling, and line striping, and also addressed water quality issues, with the town identified as a serious violator by the Virginia Department of Health due to exceedances. They also discussed a proposed rezoning of the Friant Enterprises property and set a work session for further discussion. Additionally, the council set public hearings for a special use permit for a hair salon, updates to the Erosion and Sediment Control section of the zoning ordinance, and text amendments for street rights-of-way and street lighting standards.
