The committee scheduled a meeting to discuss insurance coverage for the upcoming year with a representative from the Alera Group.
The committee discussed an update regarding the Captive Insurance Feasibility Study and reviewed annual insurance renewal options with Travelers Insurance. Three specific policy options involving varying deductible levels were analyzed to address rising insurance costs and potential self-insurance strategies. The committee ultimately moved to approve option three, which increases the General Liability self-insured retention deductible to $250,000, aiming to generate cost savings and begin building reserves for future claim payments.
