The commission reviewed the Logic and Accuracy (L&A) certification procedures for election equipment, including the use of test decks to verify machine performance. A significant portion of the discussion centered on difficulties with the new statewide election night reporting system, which is currently undergoing implementation by an outside vendor. Because of the system's ongoing readiness issues, the commission discussed alternative transparency measures, such as publishing precinct-level results on the county website to ensure voters have access to local election data.
