The board heard an appeal regarding a 2025 Motor Vehicle Grand List valuation, reviewing state legislative requirements for MSRP, depreciation, and assessment factors. Additionally, the board finalized the meeting schedule for the 2027 calendar year.
The commission discussed several items including the approval of a housing authority application for site improvements at Lincoln Park Village, contingent upon the installation of a turbidity curtain to prevent erosion. The commission also authorized the release of a bond for a completed pool construction project and reviewed a property owner's request regarding flooding issues caused by utility transmission lines, ultimately agreeing to request assistance from the utility provider.
The committee reviewed the June and July 2026 preliminary year-to-date budget reports, noting a projected fiscal year 2026 surplus intended for the non-lapsing fund. Members discussed the disbursement of state aid grants, including PURA, DRACULA, and DRiP, as well as the status of expended mental health grants.
