Belen City Council Meeting Minutes
The council recognized the retiring Fire Chief and reviewed departmental accomplishments. The council approved the preliminary plat for Sunrise Meadows and an ordinance authorizing the exchange of real property for public infrastructure improvements. Financial approvals included the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Asset Inventory Certification and fourth-quarter budget adjustments. Additionally, the council approved an MOU and professional contract with the Belen MainStreet Partnership, extensions for New Mexico Department of Transportation agreements, the appointment of delegates for the New Mexico Municipal League conference, out-of-state travel for the City Manager, and the contract award for the Picard Avenue drainage and paving improvement project.
