The Board of Commissioners meeting included a public comment period with no input received. Key discussions and actions involved approving the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire for the Audit, approving Audit Engagement letters and a monthly Accounting Services Engagement letter for Broussard Poche, LLP. The Board also approved the financial statements for the period ending November 30, 2025, authorized payment of all December 2025 bills, and approved a Support letter with Bayou Vermilion District for the Living Bayou exhibit. Furthermore, the purchase of a new Ford F-150 pickup truck was approved. The meeting concluded with an Executive Session to discuss a lawsuit.

The board meeting included updates on the Bayou Amy Water Quality Study and the Inlet Channel and Riverbanks stabilization survey. The board approved Superior Service Co., Inc. to move forward with the Borrow Pit Control Structure Trash Screen and Acadiana Land Service to remove trees in the Bayou Fusilier. The Investment Review was presented by Jon Larson with Regions Bank. The board also approved the insurance renewal with Brown and Brown. The financial statements for the period ending October 31, 2025, were approved and accepted. A special meeting was scheduled for December 9, 2025, to adopt the Budget. Payment of all bills for November 2025 was approved. The district pumped 11,033,200,000 gallons for a total of 30 days in October 2025.

The meeting included opening and adjourning a Public Hearing to consider comments on the 2026 Budget, during which no public comments were made. The Executive Director presented the Budget Message for the 2026 Budget, and the board adopted the 2026 Annual Budget.

The meeting included an update on the Loreauville Canal structure dewatering Project, with a preliminary cost estimate of $1.7 million, and the board accepted Sellers and Associates Engineering Agreement pending Legal approval. There were no new updates concerning the New Office Building or Dredging the Inlet Channel. The board approved Bulliard Construction's quote for the Ruth Canal Structure repairs. The Financial Statements for the period ending April 30, 2020, and the Actual Weighted Average Yield of 1.84% were accepted and approved. The board discussed the 2020 Millage and the Ruth Canal Tree Removal Project. A discussion was held regarding the planting of crops on the District's conveyance channel permanent right-of-way, with a decision made to allow baling of hay but not plowing or disturbance of the soil surface. The board entered into Executive Session to discuss legal issues concerning the Hartford lawsuit and then moved to call a Special Meeting on June 29, 2020, to further discuss the Hartford lawsuit.

The meeting included updates on the Loreauville Canal Navigable Control Structure Maintenance Project, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and remedial work at the Pump Station. The board discussed and approved proposals and payments related to cleaning and painting site elements at the Pump Station, electrical repairs and modernization of Pump #5, and emergency call-out invoices for electrical repairs. Updates were presented on the Gauge Project and the Ruth Canal Structure. The board also discussed and voted on the adoption of the 2024 Approved Millage Rate, approved financial statements, payment of bills, and a quote for tree removal in the Ruth Canal. Additionally, the board approved a District Storm Preparation Policy, requested a meeting with the Clay Higgens office, approved a statement to the Mississippi River Commission, and approved a Water Quality Study on Bayou Amy.
