Portland Public Schools Board of Education Board Of Education Meeting
The board approved the ratification of the master agreement with the Portland Education Association for the 2026-2028 school years, the 2026-2027 district calendar, and the board meeting calendar for the upcoming fiscal year. Personnel actions included the appointment of a new Middle School Principal, as well as multiple teaching, counseling, and coaching hires for the 2026-2027 school year. The board also approved construction bid recommendations, resolutions regarding financial depositories and account signatories, district credit card usage protocols, and standardized travel reimbursement rates. Informational updates were provided on the board bond committee calendar, the school loan revolving fund, safe school law requirements, and superintendent progress.
