The Glen Rose Independent School District's innovation plan focuses on obtaining exemptions from certain provisions of the Texas Education Code to provide flexibility in instructional scheduling, teacher certification, class sizes, and site-based decision-making. The plan aims to allow for meaningful professional development, increased local control over the instructional calendar, and the ability to hire professionals with industry experience for Career and Technical Education (CTE) positions. It also seeks to streamline decision-making processes and enhance strategic planning at both district and campus levels.

The Board of Trustees convened for a regular meeting where campus principals presented updates, highlighting successes and focus areas. Financial updates were provided, including the status of the year, attendance trends, state projections, and bond funds. Curriculum goals were shared to ensure continued classroom success. Safety measures, including door audits, were discussed. Updates were given on district construction projects. Presentations included updates on bond projects and a solar project in Glen Rose ISD. The board also discussed personnel matters in a closed session.

The Glen Rose ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting where they conducted annual team building training led by Region 11.
