They established actionable goals including modifying vending machine availability, enhancing nutritional education in middle school physical education, encouraging classroom physical activity, and pursuing wellness incentives through health insurance.

This strategic plan outlines the Hickman Mills C1 School District's commitment to ensuring every child achieves literacy proficiency. Developed through the HMC-1 Literacy Summit, the plan focuses on establishing a comprehensive literacy framework and action plan anchored in the science of reading. Its overarching goal is to cultivate a district-wide literacy system that supports students from preschool through graduation, thereby empowering them with the essential literacy skills required for success in academic, career, and life pursuits.

The meeting featured a financial update regarding revenue and bond funds, and the Board passed a resolution for the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds. Key actions included the approval of various educational and mental health curriculum agreements, as well as several technology and operational contracts. Additionally, the Board authorized annual insurance coverage and approved community partnerships aimed at providing student resources. Updates on districtwide hiring events were presented, and the Superintendent discussed the upcoming Literacy Transformation Summit.
