Accomack County Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting
The Board recognized County IT staff for their exemplary response to a facility fire. The consent agenda included the award of contracts for waste tire transporting and custodial services, the removal of a parcel from an Agricultural and Forestal District, approval of personnel policy updates, and the execution of MOU addendums for volunteer fire departments. New business items addressed updates to the County Emergency Operations Plan, a lease-purchase agreement for office space for the Sheriff's Department, and engineering design and financing resolutions regarding landfill cell construction. The Board also reviewed budget amendments, received updates on opposition to telecommunication service changes, and convened a closed session to discuss litigation and jail facility conditions.
