The meeting agenda includes an executive session to conduct the performance review of the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Additionally, the committee is scheduled to discuss staff compensation matters in relation to the 2027 budget.
The public hearing was held to solicit public comments regarding the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority's (CHFA) intent to issue tax-exempt and/or taxable bonds in an amount not exceeding $526,575,000 to finance multi-family housing developments. A public commenter expressed strong opposition to the funding plans, citing alleged systemic failures, internal control deficiencies documented in past audits, a lack of competitive bidding processes for specific projects, and concerns regarding the equitable distribution of funds to subcontractors.
