Additionally, the board discussed committee assignments and participation in Eastcon. Public participation was invited, followed by a consent agenda. Student representatives provided updates, including reflections from senior athletes and details about students attending nationals. The Apple Expo and ACT open house were also discussed.

This document serves as an annual report for the 2022-2023 school year, detailing the progress and achievements of Lebanon Public Schools in alignment with its 2019-2024 Strategic Plan. The plan is structured around five core pillars: Academics, Climate and Culture, Communication and Community Engagement, Teaching and Learning, and Finance and Operations. The strategic direction aims to prepare students to be contributing members of a diverse global society by fostering a safe, nurturing, rigorous, and student-centered learning environment, promoting emotional and intellectual well-being, ensuring effective communication and community partnerships, facilitating professional growth for educators, and maintaining efficient financial and operational systems, all guided by the 'Portrait of a Graduate' framework.

The meeting included recognition of a commended student, discussions on strategic planning, curriculum, guidance, and scheduling. The board also discussed the 2025-2026 budget, potential increases in legal line items and school tuition, and the timeline for budget presentation to the board of finance. Additionally, there were discussions on capital budget planning, grants, safety and security, and negotiations.

The Lebanon Public Schools Strategic Plan (LPS 2030) provides a roadmap for preparing students to be contributing members of a diverse global society. It is structured around the core values of 'We Grow Learners,' 'We Cultivate Leaders,' and 'We Create Legacies,' which translate into strategic priorities. These priorities include ensuring equitable support for all learners, establishing safe and compassionate learning spaces, implementing rigorous curriculum and instruction, and developing robust career pathways and postsecondary opportunities. The plan aims to foster self-directed learners, empower lead learners among staff and students, and build a personalized, connected culture within 21st-century learning environments.

The meeting included discussion of letters of resignation from district staffers and the Town of Lebanon's Public Meeting Rules of Conduct. The board discussed a building walkthrough, a meeting to discuss budget season, long term planning, negotiations, and non-lapsing funds for the LES Pump House. The board reviewed policies regarding record retention, family and medical leave, educator diversity, social media, and student attendance. The board acted on letters of resignation, repealing a policy regarding citizen complaints, and approving the Leader and Educator Evaluation and Support Plan. The board also discussed employee leaves of absence in an executive session. The next agenda will include an update on school construction status and a climate/culture & enrollment subcommittee meeting.
