The agenda for the meeting included the call to order, pledges of allegiance, and staff reports covering updates on programming, events, projects, and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Citizen comments were invited on non-agenda items, specifically concerning the status of the Quanah Hill Trail grant application and advocacy for a community wheelchair basketball program.

The meeting agenda included several public hearings and regular agenda items focused on zoning changes and plat approvals. Discussions involved a request to change zoning from C-1 Commercial to R-2 Two-Family Residential for duplexes (ZCH2019-0007), which staff recommended for approval to make the zoning uniform across the site. Another public hearing addressed changing zoning from AG Agriculture to R-1 One Family Residential for a large 298-lot subdivision (ZCH2019-0008), which was tabled pending a joint work session between the Commission and Council regarding the General Plan. A third public hearing considered a zoning change from CBD to CBD with a CUP for a counseling office (ZCH2019-0006), which was approved. Regular agenda items included consideration of a Preliminary Plat for the Eureka Townhome Addition, a Master Plat for the Old Dennis Road subdivision, and discussions/consideration of a Subdivision Improvement Agreement and Master Plat for the Wossum Ranch subdivision. The commission also approved the minutes from the February 27, 2019 meeting.

The regular City Council meeting included an invocation and the presentation of community interests, where appreciation was extended to Public Works staff for winter weather event efforts and other City staff for maintaining operations. Key actions included adopting Resolution R2025-20, formally adopting the Weatherford Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The Council unanimously approved several Consent Agenda items: calling the May 2, 2026 General Election, renewing support contracts for the CAD/RMS system with Central Square, approving library book purchases from Ingram Library Services, accepting the FY26 1st Quarter Investment Report, renewing youth association user agreements, and authorizing a construction contract for the Service Center Office Addition project. Public hearings were held for a voluntary annexation request (ANX-25-0003) and a zoning map amendment (ZCH-25-0013) for The Enclave at Chisolm Trail, both of which were tabled to the February 24, 2026 meeting. The Council also authorized a construction contract with JR West Texas Concrete, LLC for the Front Street Drainage Improvements project. An update on Short-Term Rental Compliance was received, and an Executive Session was held to consult with the attorney regarding pending litigation with Vapor Technology Association.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meeting focused on considering preliminary and final plats for new developments. Key actions included the unanimous approval of the Preliminary Plat for Phase 1 of the Keg-1 Subdivision. The Commission also unanimously approved the Preliminary Plat for the Willard Thomas Addition, including a waiver for immediate construction of North Denton and Upper Denton Roadways to their full width. Following this, the Final Plat for Lot 1, Block A of the Willard Thomas Addition was also unanimously approved, subject to the same road construction waiver. Additionally, the staff provided an update on the City of Weatherford's first evaluation under the Insurance Services Office (ISO) Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule, resulting in scores of five for commercial/industrial and four for residential construction, which may impact future insurance premiums for new construction.

The agenda covered the approval of the minutes from the January 14, 2026 meeting. Regular agenda items included a public hearing and review for a request by BT Cobb Development, LLC, for a general plan and zoning map amendment from Agricultural (AG) to Interstate Commercial (C2) for approximately 14.17 acres. Another public hearing was scheduled to review a request by Tim Clark for a zoning map amendment from (AG) Agriculture to (C1) General Commercial, along with a conditional use permit for an Auto Repair Use on approximately 3.852 acres. The commission also considered requests for preliminary plat approval for Villas at Heritage Point Addition (89 single-family lots, 9 townhome lots, and 5 open space lots) and final plat approvals for Villas at Heritage Point Addition Phase 1 and Shannon's Subdivision.
