The applicant requested a height increase from 35 feet to 41 feet for the new sanctuary, citing topographical challenges, severe slopes, and the need to accommodate the building design without impacting the property's drainage, historic districts, and existing structures. The board discussed the feasibility of alternative locations on the site, the impact on neighbors' sightlines, the nature of the bio-retention area, and the sequence of the church construction project.

The Board of Zoning Appeals discussed a request to postpone a public hearing regarding a variance application to ensure full board representation.
