The Cass County Board considered the exchange and revocation of roads within Pine River Township. County State Aid Highway 27 is proposed to be revocated to Pine River Township, while 44th Ave SW and 4th St SW would be upturned to the County. Cass County will maintain these roads for two years from the date of revocation.

The Cass County Opioid Settlement Committee meeting addressed key issues, including discussion of the Burlington Recovery Homes application, naloxone outreach, and overdose data. The committee reviewed and made recommendations regarding funding for Burlington Recovery Homes and Leech Lake Tribal Police. Plans for the Round 3 Opioid fund application process were also discussed, including the application release date, funding amount, and application deadline.

The Cass County Board addressed the final payment on Contract 25003, concerning the annual Roadway Striping project. The final contract cost was reported as $179,726.40. The board moved to adopt Resolution 42-25, which approves the final payment for the completed project.

The Cass County Board of Commissioners convened to discuss several key issues. They discussed the Citizen Budget Committee recommendations for the 2026 Preliminary Levy, Longville Ambulance Subordinate Service District's 2nd Quarter Report, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, abatement of regulated materials at the Walker Highway Department, and a Joint Powers Agreement with May Township for the Construction of Bridge 11J30. They also approved final payments on Contract 25002 and Contract 63703. The board also received employee recognition and a report back from the Insurance Committee of the Board.

The Cass County Planning Commission held a meeting to discuss several applications. The commission addressed the reclassification request for Richard Beach's property, ultimately recommending its denial. They also reviewed and approved variance applications for George Brandt, Todd Elison, Jeremy Franklin, Loran Hillesheim, Daniel Hoese, Scott Schmitt, and Robert Schwichtenberg, each with specific conditions and findings. Additionally, the commission denied the after-the-fact variance application for Brian Wild. Lastly, they approved the conditional use permit application for Marcus Dahle, concerning the movement of material to construct a building pad, subject to certain conditions.
