Central Arizona Water Conservation District Regular Meeting
The Board of Directors held a meeting where they approved an Exchange Implementation Agreement between the Town of Cave Creek and the City of Peoria. Additionally, the Board approved a partnership agreement with the Colorado River Indian Tribes regarding the acquisition of Intentionally Created Surplus. The Board also convened an executive session to receive legal advice regarding federal, interstate, and international negotiations on drought response actions, the Department of Interior's August 2026 Record of Decision, and related Operating Guidelines. Following the executive session, the Board authorized General Counsel to take necessary legal action, including potential intervention in Nevada litigation or the initiation of independent litigation related to the Colorado River and associated decisions.
