The meeting addressed bids for Auxiliary Department Materials, Equipment, Supplies, and Services for the 2016-2017 school year. A change order was ratified to increase the contract for the Acadian Elementary School Re-Roofing Project due to a change in insulation type. The substantial completion for the Acadian Elementary School Re-Roofing Project was approved, pending a punch list, final inspection, and receipt of the lien-free certificate. Updates were provided on the demolition of Southdown Elementary School and the 2-story classroom building at the old Grand Caillou School, as well as the construction of the new Southdown Elementary School. Discussions also included the Ellender Memorial High School auditorium roof and a cooperative endeavor regarding Mulberry Elementary School traffic control, along with maintenance updates.

The meeting included a review of the 2017/2018 Audit Report by LaPorte, CPAs, and a discussion regarding the approval to advertise for bids for an Oil, Gas, and Mineral Lease on Section 16, Township 19 South, Range 19 East. The committee also discussed the nomination of a lease on Section 16, Township 19 South, Range 20 East shared with Lafourche Parish School Board. Additionally, the agenda covered revised and original budgets for various funds, including the General Operating Fund, Child Nutrition Program Fund, One Cent Sales Tax Fund, and others. The meeting also included a monthly budget-to-actual comparison report and a sales tax collections update.

The meeting included discussions and potential recommendations on several financial matters, including a resolution for preliminary approval of Ten Million Dollars of Limited Tax Revenue Bonds, an Industrial Tax Exemption Program (ITEP) request by K & B Machine Works, LLC, and an Audit and Agreed-Upon Procedures Contract with LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors. Updates were provided on the Monthly Budget-to-Actual Comparison report and Sales Tax collections. Additionally, there was a discussion concerning a proposal to increase all support personnel salaries for Fiscal Year 2019/2020.

The Terrebonne Parish School Board meeting included discussions and actions on several key areas. The board approved resolutions regarding the retention of special counsel for specific legal matters. Approvals were granted for hunting and trapping leases on Section 16 Lands. A one-time salary supplement for employees was approved. Revisions to multiple policies, including those related to the annual operating budget, audits, executive sessions, use of video cameras, and sick leave, were also approved. Additionally, the board addressed bids and contracts for lawn care services, automated fuels and dispensing services, and third-party air quality monitoring services. Actions were taken regarding construction and repairs at various schools, including the approval of a window replacement project and the acceptance of substantial completion for re-roofing and building repair projects.

The meeting addressed setting the millage rates for the Regular School Tax and the Special School Tax for 2025. It also included recognition of top performers from the Special Olympics Events and announcements regarding Teacher Appreciation Week, TOPS/Jumpstart Scholar Program, National School Nurse Day, and various graduation ceremonies. The Buildings, Food Service, & Transportation Committee discussed and recommended approval for a Bus Lease Agreement between Le Cirque Mentoring Program and Terrebonne Parish School Board, the use of Ellender Memorial High School's track by the Houma Jets Track Club, and bids for meats, frozen items, canned and dry goods, fruit juice, fresh fruits & vegetables, supplies and disposables, linen services, and concentrated detergents and related items. Additionally, they considered a Change Order for the Building Repair Project at South Terrebonne High School. The Education, Technology, & Policy Committee discussed the Terrebonne Science and Engineering Fair, revisions to policies on Leaves and Absences and Mandatory School Uniforms, the addition of a Security Coordinator position, the Summer Feeding Program, the Terrebonne Parish High Schools' Student Art Show, the SkillsUSA State Competition Medalists, and adaptive programs for students with disabilities. The Superintendent's agenda included a resolution for an Intergovernmental Agreement, personnel actions, and a resolution related to the issuance of Revenue Bonds, Series 2025.
