The Board of Supervisors meeting agenda includes several items requiring action. The Engineer is scheduled to address multiple applications for underground construction in county right-of-way (ROW) for MidAmerican Energy and Windstream Kinetic, as well as signing a Dust Control Supplier's Permit and IDOT payment vouchers for engineering services with HGM Associates related to drainage projects. The Maintenance department will discuss/act on the Annual Lawn World Fertilizer Contract. The Board will also act on approving payments related to utility relocations for Atchison-Holt Electric Company and Western Contracting on the Hwy 2/I-29 Drainage District. The Assessor will discuss/approve a new flight contract with Eagleview. Further discussions include canvassing the Drainage Election and discussing/acting on a New Hire Resolution for the Treasurer's Office. A presentation from ReGov Solutions regarding software is scheduled for Thursday.

The Fremont County Board of Supervisors convened multiple times to address various resolutions. These included appointments of board officials, setting meeting schedules, and appointing members to various committees and commissions such as the Eminent Domain Compensation Commission. The board also designated official newspapers, authorized the County Auditor to issue warrants, and approved taxable utilities. Personnel matters were addressed, including the approval of staff for the County Auditor's Office and deputies and jailers for the Sheriff's Department, as well as increasing room and board rates for the county jail. Additionally, the board adopted a construction evaluation resolution, amended the budget, designated stop intersections, and accepted bids for construction projects. They also addressed property matters, declaring certain properties as surplus and setting disposition by public auction, and abating taxes on land owned by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Salary recommendations for elected officials were discussed and approved, along with appropriations for county offices and departments. The board also adopted the budget, certified taxes, and addressed weed destruction orders. Fund transfers were approved, and a summer intern was hired for the County Attorney's Office. Various changes in appropriations were made, and the auditor was authorized to cancel outstanding warrants. The board also designated voting representatives for the Iowa State Association of Counties and approved new hires for the sheriff's office.

The Fremont County Board of Supervisors convened a special session to conduct the official canvass of votes cast in the September 8, 2015 School Election. The board declared the individuals elected for various school director positions in Farragut, Fremont-Mills, Hamburg, and Sidney Community Schools, as well as Iowa Western Community College Director positions. Public Measure A did not pass, while Public Measure B passed.

The board also designated official newspapers for the county and declared Fremont County a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Personnel matters were addressed, such as approving individuals for positions in the Sheriff's Department and Auditor's Office. The board also approved assignments of certificates of purchase at tax sales, adopted a construction evaluation resolution, and appointed members to the Eminent Domain Compensation Commission. Additionally, the board addressed financial matters, approving the ISAC Group Benefits Program 28E Agreement, approving the FY23 Maximum Property Tax Dollars, adopting the budget, and making appropriations to county offices and departments. The board also approved salary adjustments for elected officials and authorized a transfer of funds for flood debris removal. Approvals were also granted for a monopole tower construction and for salary recommendations. The board also addressed weed control measures and approved a budget amendment. Additionally, the board addressed property tax abatements for land owned by the City of Sidney and Fremont County. The board also approved participation in the SS4A grant application and approved contracts for HMA Pavement projects.
