The Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding a proposed zoning ordinance text amendment designed to revitalize the downtown area. The discussion focused on the potential adoption of a downtown Business Improvement District overlay zone and specific commercial design standards and guidelines. Topics included the non-retroactive application of these standards, which would only apply to significant exterior building renovations, and the intent to streamline development review processes.
