This document details the strategic plan for New Jersey Institute of Technology, aiming to transform the public polytechnic research university into an Innovation Nexus. The Board of Trustees meeting covered several significant action items, including the approval of faculty promotions and tenure, and the awarding of construction contracts for renovations at Tiernan Lecture Hall #2, exterior façade restoration at Colton Hall, and structural repairs and fall protection systems at the Summit and Wilsey Street parking garages. Additionally, the Board authorized the renewal of workers' compensation and automobile insurance policies and approved utility expenditures for electricity and natural gas for the upcoming fiscal year. Reports were provided by the Chair and President, alongside a review of crime data and an update on the upcoming calendar of events.

The Board meeting included several key presentations and action items. The Board approved the conferral of 2026 honorary doctorates, the appointment of a new member to the New Jersey Innovation Institute Board of Directors, and the establishment of a Bachelor of Science program in Robotics Engineering. Additionally, the Board voted to remove the Election Committee from the University Senate Bylaws and authorized a Guaranteed Maximum Price amendment for design-build renovations to Fenster Hall and the Campus Center. The meeting also featured reports from the Chair, the President, the Alumni Association, and a review of campus crime data.

The public session agenda included the approval of several resolutions under Action Items, such as amending the Bylaws of the Board of Trustees, specifically renaming the Buildings and Grounds Committee to the Facilities and Infrastructure Committee and updating its charge. The Board also approved the creation of new Bachelor of Science programs in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Construction Management Technology, and Software and Data Engineering Technology. Further action items involved approving faculty and lecturer sabbatical leaves for Academic Year 26-27 and adopting the Audited June 2025 Financial Statements. Additionally, the Board approved the conditional designation of XYZ Developer for the redevelopment of the MLK East Side, Block 43, Lots 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 48. Reports covered the Chair's and President's activities, FY26 fundraising progress, the Chief Financial Officer's report highlighting budget variances and endowment growth, and the Clery Crime Data.

It details approximately 165 institutes, centers, and labs organized into six principal areas: Bioscience and Bioengineering, Data Science and Management, Environment and Sustainability, Materials Science and Engineering, Robotics and Machine Intelligence, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
