The committee held a meeting which included a briefing on the Public Health fiscal outlook provided by the Executive's Office. Additionally, the committee considered and recommended a motion to acknowledge receipt of a report on maintaining Medicaid retention in King County, in accordance with the biennial budget ordinance.

The committee discussed the adoption of the King County 2026 Federal Legislative Priorities. A proposed ordinance regarding the organization of administrative offices and executive departments was introduced, though the matter was deferred following a recusal. Additionally, a briefing was provided on a status report concerning contract management and compliance reporting protocols for the Department of Community and Human Services.

The committee held discussions on two proposed ordinances: one concerning a franchise agreement with HyperFiber of Washington, LLC, and another regarding the prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse and the creation of an inspector general division; both items were deferred.
