The 2022-2027 Strategic Plan for Bismarck State College, as North Dakota's Polytechnic Institution, focuses on student success, linking talent with opportunity, fiscal stability, and effective communication. Key areas include providing affordable and flexible academic and career pathways through high-quality experiential learning and public-private partnerships. The plan emphasizes six academic focus areas: Cybersecurity, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Automation, Energy, Agriculture, and the Digital Economy. Outcomes include increased student retention, completion, and job placement; expanded public-private partnerships; improved fiscal efficiency; and enhanced communication with students, communities, and industry partners. The plan aims to create sustainable communities through workforce development and economic growth, while ensuring the college's financial health and responsiveness to evolving workforce needs.
