Fostoria City Schools Reading Achievement Plan 2025-2026
This Reading Achievement Plan for Fostoria City Schools outlines a strategy to improve literacy outcomes, specifically targeting an increase in third-grade reading proficiency to 65% by Spring 2026, and ensuring 90% of K-3 students achieve on-grade level phonological awareness and phonics skills by May 2026. The plan focuses on building teacher capacity in the Science of Reading, implementing explicit phonemic awareness and phonics instruction, and addressing factors contributing to underachievement. It integrates evidence-based strategies, professional development, and continuous monitoring to support all learners, particularly those on Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans (RIMPs).
