The commission addressed several plat approvals, including a concept plan and preliminary plat for The Grove at Riverstone. Public hearings were held regarding a zoning map amendment for a Caliber Collision service center and a planned development district amendment to allow for a self-storage facility. Furthermore, a contentious rezoning request from suburban to single-family residential district was reviewed and forwarded to the City Council with a positive recommendation, following public concerns regarding drainage, traffic impact, and infrastructure capacity.

The council discussed the appointment of a director to the Missouri City Parks Foundation and concurred with the appointment of the Missouri City Fire and Rescue Services Chief. Additionally, the council received a presentation and provided feedback regarding proposed regulatory changes for mobile food vendors. The meeting also included a closed executive session to consult with legal counsel regarding pending litigation and multiple contracts with the Texas Department of Transportation.

The council discussed several operational and development initiatives, including the repeal of a 2013 consultant selection policy to streamline procurement and the approval of a new event center in the Siana area funded by Fort Bend County. Other actions included zoning approval for a commercial and retail development district, the conversion of sports field lighting to LED at the community park, and an interlocal agreement with Metro for a trail project. Furthermore, the council authorized technology upgrades at the Quail Valley Golf Club, extended a gas rate increase review period, and updated facility fee schedules.
