This Rural Transit Development Plan outlines the current and future public transportation needs for Lee County. The plan emphasizes the importance of continuing the partnership with Southwest Georgia Regional Transit to support public transportation services, enhance public outreach and education on available services, and align planning efforts with economic development and infrastructure goals. The Lee County Board of Commissioners held a joint public hearing with the City of Leesburg and the City of Smithville to discuss the Updated Hazard Mitigation Plan.
