The Common Council adopted the annual budget and appropriated funds for the operation of the government and administration of the City of Mequon for the year 2026, levying taxes for the same. The budget includes property taxes to support the annual budget, with the final tax rate determined by the statutory property tax billing process. A tax was levied upon all taxable property within the City of Mequon for the uses and purposes set forth in the budget. The City Clerk was authorized to spread the tax upon the current tax roll of the City of Mequon.

The Economic Development Board meeting included discussions and updates on several key areas. These encompass the Emergency Load Fund, Southwest Sewer Service Analysis, Southwest Industrial Zoning in relation to the Milwaukee Water Agreement, Port Washington Road TID Reports, Port Washington Road Zoning Change, and Staff Updates.

The Park & Open Space Plan focuses on acquiring, improving, and maintaining the City's parks and open spaces to provide recreational activities, land and water preservation, and environmental education for its residents. It also focuses on scheduling events, collecting fees, and coordinating stewardship groups and athletic organizations. The plan is intended to be updated every five years to remain eligible for park and recreation grants and ensure it remains relevant to the community's needs.
