Salinas Valley Recycles' Strategic Plan aims to manage solid waste as a resource, promoting equitable, sustainable, environmentally sound, and cost-effective practices through an integrated system of waste reduction, reuse, recycling, innovative technology, customer service, and education. The plan's vision is to reduce waste, recover it for its highest and best use, and transform business from burying waste to utilizing it as a resource, ultimately eliminating the need for landfills. Key priorities for 2025-26 include Governance and collaboration, Financial sustainability, Facilities master planning, Compliance and adaptation to regulatory changes, and High-quality community engagement.
