The commission reviewed several minor subdivision map recordations, approving one request while requiring updates for others before final approval. A public hearing resulted in tentative approval for the Still Meadows two-parcel subdivision, Phase 3. The commission also addressed a property complaint regarding salvage and business activity, resulting in a cease and desist order. Additionally, the commission reviewed ongoing complaints regarding property code violations, excessive storage, and auto repair activities, with follow-up monitoring and cleanup deadlines established for several locations.

The Commission conducted elections for the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Additionally, the Commission approved a minor subdivision map for a 3-way parcel split in the Town District with associated right-of-way and road maintenance agreements. A public hearing was held resulting in the approval of the Southgate Phase 9 four-parcel subdivision. The Serinity Ridge Subdivision item was continued for a future meeting.

The meeting included several key discussion items such as the approval of exonerations, budget revisions, and the hiring of three new Deputy Sheriffs. The commission considered the creation of the Raleigh County Economic Development District Advisory Committee, approved a Fair Housing Resolution and Action Plan, and reviewed the purchase of equipment for the Raleigh County Deputy Civil Service Commission. Additionally, the commission addressed an administrative contract amendment, a CDBG drawdown for the Memorial Airport Industrial Park Broadband Expansion Project, and a grant request for a veterans fishing retreat.

The Commission addressed several financial and administrative matters, including the approval of property tax exonerations and various budget revisions for law enforcement. Key grant approvals were made to the Southern Soil District for flood control and the Raleigh County Commission on Aging for a local feeding program. Other business included the procurement of a new Everbridge notification system, security upgrades for the Day Report Center, the purchase of new computers for the Prosecution office, and authorization for equipment for the Pine View/Batoff Mountain Sewer project. Furthermore, the commission approved payment requests for multiple sewer extension projects and handled final accountings and waivers of final settlement.

The meeting addressed several administrative and financial items, including the approval of personal property tax exonerations and the selection of a firm for transportation planning and professional services. The Commission authorized a grant to the Raleigh County Memorial Airport for a hangar purchase, approved a security upgrade for the Health Department, and designated poll workers for the upcoming primary election. Additionally, a grant for the Imagination Library was approved, an IT support agreement was finalized, and a payment request for the Piney View/Batoff Mountain sewer project was authorized. Other business included public inquiries regarding the animal shelter, the approval of vacation orders, and appointments to the Coalfield Area Development Authority and the Community Action Board.
