The address emphasized the importance of this ceremony for graduates who may have had amended high school graduations. Speakers highlighted the rigor of Carson Newman's academic programs and the achievement of student-athletes balancing academics and sports. Graduates were awarded Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees. The address challenged the graduates to think Christianly, live faithfully by pursuing God's purpose, and love generously by working for the welfare of their communities.
