The meeting included the election of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Recorder. A review of the 2023-24 Title Expenditure Recap reports for the Redding Elementary School District, Shasta Union Elementary School District, and Igo-Ono-Platina Union School District took place, with discussions on the distribution of funds in Title I, II, and IV. The Annual Notification of Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP) was presented, covering the process of filing a complaint and its availability to parents and on district and school websites.

The District Advisory Committee meeting addressed multiple topics, including a review of federal allocations and categorical funding for Redding School District, Shasta Union Elementary School District, and Igo-Ono-Platina Union School District. The committee also discussed and approved the Special Education Extended School Year Waiver for SPED Summer School. Additionally, there was a request to discuss the new state testing requirements at the next meeting.

The meeting included updates on federal Title funding, covering Title I for academic support, Title II for professional development, and Title IV for well-rounded education, student health and safety, and educational technology. The committee conducted its annual review of the Student Success Compact and the draft Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Federal Addendum, highlighting key updates and proposed actions for the upcoming year. A discussion on new state testing requirements was postponed to the next meeting.

The 2025-26 Local Control and Accountability Plan for Stellar Charter School focuses on supporting academic performance and student growth through high-quality curriculum, enrichment, and intervention. It aims to create a physically and emotionally safe school environment and prepare students for college and career opportunities. Key goals include providing math and reading intervention, resources for parents, enrichment activities, and a school counselor, as well as promoting family engagement and college and career exploration.

The 2025-26 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for Redding Elementary School District focuses on high academic achievement, a broad and challenging curriculum, safe and functional facilities, and increased engagement among students, parents, staff, and educational partners. Key goals include promoting equity and access for all students, preparing students for future opportunities, ensuring positive learning climates, and fostering collaboration to enhance student performance academically, socially, and emotionally. The plan addresses chronic absenteeism and suspension rates through targeted actions around social-emotional learning and provides additional support for highly mobile students.
