The strategic plan of the Montezuma Community Development Corporation focuses on enhancing the quality of life in Montezuma through housing development, business support, arts and culture enhancement, and community improvements. Key priorities include facilitating housing development, championing workforce and residential growth, catalyzing business development, advocating for recreation, arts, and culture, and serving as a model of organizational leadership and partnership.

The council discussed the purchase of new and rebuilt gas meters, tabling a decision on a rezoning application pending a public hearing, and an overlay project detour agreement from the Iowa DOT. The council also discussed and approved a request for street closures for the Blakely-Stevens American Legion's annual car show. Additionally, budget billing issues were addressed, with plans to draft a letter to correct discrepancies.
