The Town of Daniels is holding a public hearing on the proposed 2026 budget. Expenditures cover general government, public safety (ambulance and fire protection), public works (road maintenance, salaries, fuel, equipment), health and human services (cemetery and animal control), recreation, capital outlay, and debt service for various loans. The budget also details financing sources and cash flow.
The meeting addressed Town Board appointments to Fire Departments and the Mudhen Lake Association, focusing on effective representation of the Town of Daniels. Approval was granted for Virtual Webinar Training by WTA for the Clerk and Treasurer. Additionally, the purchase of a Rescue Truck for the Siren Fire Department was approved. Further discussion on a Bank Loan and Tax Levy was scheduled for the October Town meeting, following a review of town roads needing maintenance.
