The board conducted public hearings for two variance applications involving residential additions. The first application, for an addition at 47 University Street, was approved after the board reviewed revised plans and determined the project would not adversely impact the neighborhood or the adjacent undeveloped property. The second application, for an addition at 81 Fairlawn Drive including an extra garage bay and bathroom, was also approved following favorable input from neighboring property owners and a review of the variance criteria. Additionally, the board scheduled a public hearing for a fence variance request at 30 Manor Drive for a future date.

The board reviewed and accepted an area variance application submitted for 81 Fairlawn Drive and scheduled a public hearing to discuss the proposal for a residential addition.

The Town Board meeting included announcements regarding a zoning code update process, recognition of new Eagle Scouts, the success of a local Repair Cafe, summer seasonal activities at town parks, and progress on infrastructure projects. The Board held a public hearing regarding a proposed temporary moratorium on the construction of data centers. Additionally, the Board heard extensive public comments from numerous residents concerning proposed changes to town zoning and potential impacts on traffic, development density, infrastructure, and community character.

The Planning Board held a meeting to discuss a proposed 3-story, 90-unit senior housing project at 152 Rockefeller Road. Key topics included the potential traffic impact on the narrow, dead-end road, neighborhood safety concerns, and the adequacy of the proposed site design, including setbacks, density, and screening. The Board also reviewed the status of state and federal wetland regulations and their impact on the project, as well as fire safety requirements, stormwater management, and proposed pedestrian improvements such as new sidewalks.

The Town Board convened a special meeting to conduct an executive session for the purpose of discussing potential litigation. Additionally, the board approved a motion to settle a claim filed by HMA Contracting Corp in the amount of $23,677.00.
