The Board of School Trustees of the Plymouth Community School Corporation will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed school construction project. The project includes renovations to school buildings, HVAC and roofing improvements, window replacements, new carpeting, security enhancements, new furniture and computer equipment, buses, lighting upgrades, athletic facility improvements, and parking lot/sidewalk enhancements. The hearing will cover the project's value to the school corporation and community, its educational purposes, estimated costs, tax impact, and funding sources.

The Board will consider an additional appropriation of general obligation bonds not to exceed $6,725,000. The appropriation is for acquiring property, constructing, extending, altering, improving, remodeling, and equipping renovations to school buildings. These renovations include HVAC, roofing, windows, carpeting, security, furniture, computer equipment, buses, lighting, athletic facilities, and parking lot/sidewalk improvements. The funds will be provided by the issuance and sale of bonds by the School Corporation.

The project includes renovations to school buildings, HVAC improvements, roofing and window improvements, new carpeting, security enhancements, new furniture and computer equipment, buses, lighting upgrades, athletic facility improvements, and parking lot/sidewalk enhancements.

The meeting included the election of the Board of Finance President and Secretary. The Board considered Resolution 2016-1 regarding permission to pre-write vendor checks and approved the resolution. The Board also approved the current corporation credit cards as presented.

The meeting included discussions and actions on various topics, such as school improvement plans, permission to hire new staff, certified staff stipends, and classified stipends. The board also reviewed elementary ISTEP data and discussed summer school programs for 2016. Additionally, there was a presentation on the football field project and a legislative report. The meeting also covered student activities, donations, fundraiser requests, and non-resident student admissions.
