The vision is to establish an empowering learning community that prepares students, parents, and educators by nurturing potential, capacity, and advocacy. The program emphasizes an accelerated curriculum including middle school and high school courses, offers affective resources to develop intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, outlines specific selection criteria, and integrates extracurricular activities and a robust support system to ensure student success and achievement within a challenging academic environment.

The Board then moved to approve several consent agenda items and collective bargaining agreements with teachers, nurses, and maintenance, custodial, and supply personnel, which included step increases and cost-of-living adjustments.
