This document describes the Youth Apprenticeship program, which connects high school juniors and seniors with career paths by combining mentoring with classwork. The program enables participants to earn wages, school credit, and job skills across nearly 100 diverse career pathways. Its purpose is to prepare students for future success in various post-secondary endeavors and to provide employers with a robust recruitment and retention strategy for developing their workforce pipeline.

The Kiel Area School District's Strategic Plan aims to provide a comprehensive, personal, and future-focused education in a safe, supportive environment, fostering excellence in lifelong pursuits through a partnership of family, school, and community. The plan is structured around four key pillars: Academic Success, Culture and Climate, Community Engagement, and Finance and Facilities. It focuses on enhancing student learning, well-being, and community involvement, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and maintaining safe, accessible, and welcoming facilities.

The meeting included discussion and approval of the property and liability insurance renewal. A presentation was given on the buildings' maintenance and repair priority lists, as well as financial options for a potential future referendum. The Board voted to convene into executive session to discuss a change of position for a current employee.

The Board of Education meeting included recognizing members for the high school and middle school dance teams that participated at State. The Board accepted a donation to the Angel Fund. They approved policies presented on the second reading and approved bypassing the first and second readings of policies to approve rescission and changes to policies upon presentation. Changes to the KEEF By-laws were approved, and the Board decided to have quarterly workshops. Legislative share-outs were added to the April agenda.
