The committee discussed branch reports regarding the rebranding to Greene County Community Health, participation in the Medicaid waiver plan, and the results of a NYSDOH tick prevalence report. Policy updates were finalized for public and individual complaints. Program updates included the distribution of Caroline's Carts for community accessibility, collaboration with the ASTOR Head Start Program, recruitment and training for the Medical Reserve Corps, and mobile van outreach efforts. Additional reports covered inter-agency integrated programming, income tax assistance services, veteran support events, and scam safety training.

The committee moved for the adoption of the resolution to accept the minutes, policies, and quarterly branch reports of the Public Health Department Medical Professional Advisory Committee.

The committee held a quarterly review session which included a presentation of the 2026-2028 Community Health Improvement Plan. The plan focuses on three priority areas: nutrition security, specifically addressing hospital screenings and food assistance programs; tobacco and e-cigarette use, focusing on reduction strategies and public policy; and social and community context, with an emphasis on suicide prevention. The committee also formally approved an updated Accident/Incident Reporting policy. Additionally, a round table discussion covered various public health updates, including tick-borne disease surveillance, COVID and Flu A tracking, challenges in program provider staffing, and impacts of potential funding shifts for community housing and victim services.

The committee discussed updates on Sheriff department operations, including marine patrol training and water rescue incidents. The EMS Coordinator introduced the implementation of sensory kits on ambulances to assist patients with developmental and sensory needs. Key approvals included the reaffirmation of NIMS procedures, authorization to solicit RFPs for NextGEN 911 call handling equipment and telecommunications pathway diversity consulting services, the purchase and installation of a new 911 recording system and a security camera system for the Emergency Services building, and a budget amendment for interoperable communications equipment. Additionally, members were appointed to the Fire Advisory Board.

The resolution authorizes the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence through the dedication and burial of a time capsule at the Greene County Justice Center. The time capsule is intended to preserve artifacts and messages for future generations, with a scheduled reopening date set for 2076.
