Maryland Strategy
The Resilient Maryland Strategy outlines a comprehensive, whole-of-government approach to build resilience across the state in response to increasing disasters and climate change impacts. The strategy is structured around five key sectors: Environmental & Natural Systems, Critical Infrastructure, Community & Local Government Capacity, Food Systems, and Housing. It also integrates cross-cutting focus areas including Justice & Equity, Place-Based Resilience, and Robust Economy & Job Creation. The plan aims to protect Maryland's people, livelihoods, and property by mitigating disaster and climate change impacts through 2-, 5-, and 10-year recommendations, fostering equitable community engagement, and promoting a strong economy.
