This vision document outlines the strategic direction for Summerville Main Street, aiming to enhance downtown Summerville as the cultural, historic, social, and economic center of the community. Key strategic areas include downtown image improvement, historic preservation, streamlining business opening processes, tourism development, and business recruitment. The plan emphasizes partnerships, investments, and a four-point approach (outreach, promotion, design, economic restructuring) to achieve a vibrant economic and cultural district, an enhanced sense of place, and an enriched quality of life, ultimately making Summerville a tourism destination. A downtown Master Plan is targeted for completion by the end of 2018, building upon the 2017 work plan.
