The Council meeting addressed several agenda items, including the receipt of the Agricultural Water Use Comparison report, which discussed water conservation measures and the potential for future engagement with agricultural producers. The Council also awarded a construction contract for the McNab Park ball diamond backstop and approved a budget for drainage improvements across the village. Additionally, the Council reviewed ongoing infrastructure planning, including the use of heat maps to identify flooding hotspots and strategies for future capital improvements.

The council discussed correspondence items, including receiving information reports for several items. A proclamation for Rail Safety Week was adopted. The council approved the first reading of a zoning bylaw and directed administration to refer it to the Ministry of Transportation and Transit and the Agricultural Land Commission. There was discussion regarding a village playground equipment installation, including potential options for a safety gate to address flight risks for children. Additionally, the council reviewed upcoming community events, including a volunteer appreciation barbecue, and received updates regarding an unsuccessful grant application for a fire department truck replacement.

The committee held a meeting which began with a land acknowledgement recognizing the Treaty 8 territories. Following the adoption of the meeting agenda, the committee moved directly into a closed session to discuss matters related to municipal negotiations in accordance with the community charter.

This Official Community Plan for the Village of Pouce Coupe serves as a policy document guiding land use management and planning, setting the long-term vision and objectives for the community. The plan emphasizes good governance, public services, financial stewardship, and collaboration to build a resilient, multigenerational community. Key focus areas include land use planning (agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, civic, parks, and recreation), community development (housing, economic diversification, infrastructure, transportation, environmental protection, social needs, arts, culture, heritage, and food security), and ensuring long-term financial sustainability while preserving its small-town charm and agricultural heritage.

The Village of Pouce Coupe Corporate Strategic Plan outlines strategic objectives and corresponding actions. Developed in June 2015, it incorporates community feedback from the 2015 Official Community Plan engagement process, which gathered community aspirations and needs for the Village's future.
