This document presents a workshop for the City of Agoura Hills' Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), a guiding document designed to enhance wildfire resilience. The plan builds upon a previous risk assessment, incorporating detailed hazard and vulnerability analyses, and identifies strategic fuel mitigation projects and social vulnerabilities across the community. Key recommendations include fostering public awareness about evacuation zones and home hardening, supporting community chipper programs, and strengthening partnerships with local fire-safe councils and HOAs. The plan aims to secure future funding for projects and improve emergency response and communication in anticipation of increased wildfire danger due to climate change.

The Planning Commission meeting focused on a public hearing to consider the adoption of a resolution recommending that the city council approve environmental findings and a subsequent environmental impact report for the general plan update. This includes various zone changes, map amendments, specific plan amendments for Agoura Village and Ladyface Mountain, and municipal code amendments. Additionally, the commission discussed the housing element requirements, focusing on compliance with state law, Regional Housing Needs Assessment allocation, and the inclusionary housing ordinance. The meeting also covered the implementation of programmatic objectives for housing maintenance and the delivery of affordable housing.

The meeting included the official oath of office for a new council member following an appointment process. The Council received presentations recognizing the city's long-term video production consultant for twenty-seven years of service and celebrating the city's achievement of an Epic Award and Best in Show award from the California Association of Public Information Officials for a branding refresh project. Additionally, the Council received a monthly report from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce regarding upcoming community events, including the state of the city luncheon and the return of the Taste of Conejo event, as well as an update on the tourism district.

The meeting featured an intergovernmental update from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce regarding business outreach, tourism efforts, and upcoming events. A report was provided on the Los Virgenes Malibu Council of Governments, covering topics such as homeless support, watershed programs, and regional projects. The council also reviewed historical facts regarding the city's incorporation and founding members. The consent calendar included the approval of a lease agreement, maintenance agreements for dry weather diversion capture projects, the purchase of a hybrid vehicle for the city fleet, and the adoption of an amended conflict of interest code.

The webinar provided an overview of a proposed 100% affordable housing development located at 29125 Agoura Road, also referred to as site E. The discussion highlighted the city's state-mandated regional housing needs allocation (RENA) and how this project contributes to meeting these goals for very low and low-income households. The presentation covered project design details, sustainability features, the anticipated leasing process, and the supportive services to be offered to residents by the Hope Through Housing Foundation.
