The meeting agenda includes four main land use development applications. These involve a request to rezone a property on West Broad Avenue for an automobile repair shop, a request to rezone a parcel on Whispering Pines Circle for a multi-family apartment complex, a related variance request for that same complex regarding parking and lot density, and a variance request for properties on Fulton Avenue to allow the operation of a religious institution. Additionally, the commission will review status reports on previous rezoning applications.

The Commission reviewed and approved certificates of appropriateness for the construction of an equipment shelter and fiber conduits at 105 W Society Ave, and for the installation of signage at the Legacy Wellness Center at 314 W Oglethorpe Blvd. Discussions included planning for Historic Preservation Month in May, potential commission attire and identification, an update on administrative historic reviews, and reports on current code enforcement notices regarding fire and roof damage at specific properties.

The commission reviewed land use development applications, including the successful approval of a rezoning request for a parcel at 1400 W Broad Avenue to operate an automobile repair shop, and the approval of a variance for parking and lot size requirements to establish a religious institution at 1807 and 1809 Fulton Avenue. Two applications related to Woda Cooper Development were withdrawn. Additionally, the Planning Director provided an update on the progress of the 2046 Comprehensive Plan and invited commissioners to an upcoming public open house.

The commission reviewed an application to rezone a 9.20-acre parcel on Liberty Expressway from Agricultural District to Commercial Business District, which was approved. Additionally, the Planning Director introduced new staff members to the commission, and a recap of the previous month's cases was provided.
