The farm's strategic focus areas include advanced wildlife management through habitat enhancement and food plot cultivation, sustainable timber resource management via thinning and prescribed burning, and fostering community engagement through youth hunting initiatives and forestry tours. The overarching purpose is the dedicated stewardship, preservation, and intergenerational transfer of this unique 450-acre natural resource.

The plan aims to preserve and promote the Flagg Mountain Fire Tower, cabins, and campgrounds, allowing the public to experience 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps building projects and the natural beauty of the area. It also aims to enhance Flagg Mountain's role as a major component of the southern terminus of the Pinhoti Trail, connecting Alabama to the Appalachian Trail.
