The board conducted the canvass of the returns for the partisan primary election. This included the certification of results for various state and federal offices, including United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, Representative to the Assembly, St. Croix County District Attorney, and State Referendum. The board also certified results for local offices, including County Clerk, Treasurer, and Register of Deeds.

The board addressed several zoning ordinance amendments for the Towns of Richmond and Pleasant Valley and confirmed membership for the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Presentations included an update on a solar power project and an annual report from the CASA of St. Croix County. The County Administrator provided a monthly update on financials and personnel. Key legislative actions included the repeal and recreation of ordinances regarding waste storage facilities and parks, the establishment of county legislative priorities, and amendments to personnel policies. Additionally, the board received annual reports from Justice Support Services and the District Attorney's office.

The committee reviewed the 2023 audit report, discussed and recommended resolutions for a fund balance transfer, the 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan, step increases for the Register of Deeds Second Deputy, and the approval of the County Administrator's 2024 work plan report and 2025 work plan. Additionally, the committee reviewed the financial report for July 2024 and discussed potential future uses for ARPA funds.

The committee discussed and acted upon several items, including postponing a conditional use request for Roberts Concrete/Cemstone Ready Mix, LLC. They recommended approval of an amendment to the Town of Hudson Zoning Ordinance and accepted a proposal for the Community Development Department forfeiture schedule. The committee approved an ordinance amending citations and general provisions of the St. Croix County Code of Ordinances. Other discussions included a financial report, proposed amendments to Chapter 17, and an update on an Xcel Energy project. Additionally, the committee considered and acted on a resolution regarding base funding for conservation staffing, ultimately voting to reconsider the matter at a future date.

The committee reviewed reports from the Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of St. Croix County and received a circuit court update from the judiciary. Additional business included a briefing from the Medical Examiner's Office, a review of proposed 2025 budget requests, and an overview of recent community outreach activities conducted by the Sheriff's Office.
