School Board Meeting
The school board meeting included recognitions of the Virginia School Social Worker of the Year and graduates of the apprenticeship program in child nutrition and custodial services. The board discussed policies and procedures, including those related to abusive work environments, admission of children of persons on active military duty, appointment of the superintendent, employment procedures, instructional school year and school day, assignment of students to school, meal charges, and conflicts of interest for school board members. There were public comments regarding Veterans Day and gifted education.
