This Comprehensive Plan for Danville-Boyle County serves as a roadmap for the community's growth and development, outlining a unified vision for the future. It aims to address community needs, guide development decisions, and align projects and policies with long-term goals. The plan focuses on five key pillars: creating quality neighborhoods, expanding housing options, growing a diverse economy, building a healthy community, and preserving community resources. The overarching vision is to foster concentrated growth within urban boundaries, enhance walkability, and improve health, well-being, and connectivity through diverse housing, efficient infrastructure, and thriving public spaces, while also protecting natural beauty, farmland, and historic character.

The Boyle County Fiscal Court held a special-called meeting/workshop to discuss the proposed layouts of the Public Safety Building designs presented by Architect Rob Deal. The Geotechnical report has been completed but has not been reviewed. EMS Director Mike Rogers raised a concern about the adequacy of ambulance bays to accommodate future growth.
